Characters Overview

A character is person or product that can appear in your stories. You can create a collection of characters for your account and then use any of these characters in your stories, i.e., you can share characters across different stories.

Characters are defined by a number of attributes, like age, personality, backstory, etc. as well as an image to define their physical appearance. The image can be generated or you can provide your own image if you have one.

When you create a story, you can specify a subset of characters that should appear in that story. These characters will be used when automatically generating storyboards and imagery for the story. You can also specify different combinations of characters for each scene in a story, to help refine the narrative arc of each character within the story.

The steps of using characters are therefore:

1. Add characters to a Story, either new or existing ones
2. Generate a storyboard using the characters
3. Optionally customize the set of characters in different scenes
